A note from Jimmy, regarding NYC Meat Week. Get all the details here.
I’ve been driving around to the Meat Week participants, dropping off meat (beef to Iris Cafe/Gerald Jerky; pork to Delicatessen – Sous Chef Andrew says “hi”). At the Brooklyn Kitchen/Meat Hook, they have a nice poster in the front window promoting Greenmarket/Grow NYC Meat Week and their sausage making class Tuesday (Tommy Land, their butcher/partner, will also participate in Tuesday’s Food Systems NYC meat panel at the French Culinary Institute). Chef Matteo at White and Church is excited about Monday’s kick off party and Tuesday’s Buffalo Prix Fixe menu. Chef Jessica Wilson is psyched. Ryan Tate found his beef for tartare from Fleischers….
And we’re getting some great press, too! Check out what the NY Times had to say.
All good vibes!
Peace,
Jimmy

I think we both are pretty keen on learning and experimenting with food and our respective beverages, so it seemed like a really fun and palpable idea to get on board with. Also, I love that Chris and Jimmy are so local-centric-minded, so I have been wanting to team up with them on a little project. Continue reading Wine Will Win: Beer Versus Wine Challenge 11/2
