After what felt like an entire summer crammed into a week, the weather has turned positively autumnal. And with the Harvest Moon on the rise, we’re looking forward to our new fall menu and a couple of very cool beer events coming up in the next couple weeks.

To start us off right, this Saturday, September 13th, owner Jimmy Carbone (also the host of Beer Sessions Radio on the Heritage Radio Network) will be raiding the cellar for a Sour Beer Sampler. For only $35, you’ll get six pours of some amazing sour brews paired with bacon snacks, as Jimmy does a guided tasting of some of his favorite sour beers.

Tentative beer list (subject to change):

  • *Off Color Troublesome Gose (from Chicago)
  • *Tilquin Gueze (from Belgium)
  • *Singlecut Beersmiths “Kim” Sour Sash Sherry Beer(Astoria, Queens)
  • *Alvinne Undressed(Belgium)
  • 2 more TBD

Tickets can be purchased here.

Then, later this month, we’ll be featuring the perfect fall/Oktoberfest when we have our smoked beer week (September 22-28). Each night we’ll be offering suggested smoked beers and food pairings (pay as you go), or if you’re really digging the scene, join us for a five-course Smoked + Smoked prix fixe beer dinner with Jon Lundbom of B. United on Monday, September 22nd. Among the beers we hope to offer (subject to availability, with menu to follow):

  • *Schlenkerla (of course!)
  • *Almond 22 Torbatta
  • *Carrobiollo 1111
  • *De Dues Toccata
  • *La Goutte D’Or Charbonnier
  • *BFM BATS
  • *Bayrischer Bahnhof Berliner Weisse w/oak smoked wheat

Tickets for the Smoked + Smoked prix fixe dinner ($45) are available here.

And, of course, our craft beer kitchen is always available for regular service, along with a great selection of sours, local beers on tap, ciders and wines from NY State.
