We know you’ve been working on your confit, sourcing your beans and tweaking your recipes, so here’s the date: January 13th we’ll be hosting our Fifth Annual Cassoulet Cookoff (to benefit a Grow NYC Greenmarket program TBD). Amateur and professional chefs will face off, with awards presented by a panel of judges along with people’s choice awards.
Of course, you don’t have to cook to enjoy. $30 at the door will get you two hours of samplings plus one drink ticket (beer/wine/cider/soft). Previous chefs have included Green Brown Orange’s Alejandro Alcocer, Chris Ronis of Northern Spy, and, of course, Jimmy’s No. 43. Amateur chefs that have been in the line-up include Adrian Ashby, Serena Norr and Laura Luciano.
