Once again, we’ll be offering our famous “Oyster Shuck and Talk,” an evening to benefit Slow Food NYC. This will be a back room, ticketed event featuring Karen Rivara (celebrity oyster farmer and founder of the Noank Oyster Cooperative) and Gregg Rivara (marine biologist with the Cornell Cooperative Extension). You’ll enjoy an evening of local oysters and the first-ever harvest of farmed Peconic Bay Scallops on the half shell paired with and Jimmy’s No. 43 specially selected beer. In a casual setting, Karen and Gregg will shuck and tell you everything you ever wanted to know about oysters and scallops, while Jimmy provides the liquid cheer.  The cost of the ticket includes your first half dozen bi-valves and your first beer. Cash raw bar and beer bar will be open thereafter. (Tickets here.)

As always, regular bar/restaurant service is still available, and in the main part of the restaurant, we’ll also have a special guest at the oyster counter: John Rowan from Rowan Imports, who will be sampling some of his Spanish Ciders. Regular bar/restaurant service available.
