Heading for the Festival? Beers to look out for!

As some of our community heads north to Portland, ME, for The Festival, we thought this would be a great time to mention some of our favorite brews that you may be able to find on your beer adventures.

  • Stephan Michel and Mahr’s Bräu – We had a great time with Stephan last year and we featured his beers earlier this week for our weekly Tuesday Tasting. Among our very favorites: Bock and Ungespundet.
  • Brasserie de la Senne – Yvan De Baets and Bernard Leboucq have created some amazing brews, including Zinnebir and Taras Boulba
  • Cantillon’s Gueuze Lambic is a favorite during our annual April Sours events.
  • Jolly Pumpkin – speaking of sours, we love the Michigan brewer’s Feugo del Otoño, Oro de Calabaza, and Luciérnaga, among others.
  • Evil Twin’s Jeppe Jarnit-Bjergsø is a frequent guest to Jimmy’s No. 43. We love his Femme Fatale.
  • Finally there’s one of Jeppe’s collaborators, Westbrook Brewing Co. from South Carolina. Seek out their Goze or White Thai.

And be sure to check in at Jimmy’s No. 43 next week when you’re back for more great beers courtesy of Shelton Brothers and 12 Percent.
