Jimmy’s No. 43 Welcomes July Good Beer Month

LechonRoastPigWe’re revving up for another great summer as July Good Beer Month arrives. For the past seven years, we’ve led the charge to recognize outstanding craft beer establishments, of which Jimmy’s No. 43 is one! We’re bringing in a bevvy of special guests all month long with theme nights and one special dinner (non-beer, but we care about our new whiskey program, too!)

We’re doing our official July Good Beer Month launch alongside Niko Krommydas, whose Craft Beer App now has a Craft Beer Map (we’re on it!). We’ll have copies of it available for sale ($5, plus you’ll get $1 off your first beer), with special beers coming on tap tonight, including:

  • Finback’s new sour beer: The Loneliness of Distant Space
  • Threes Brewing’s Just Add Water (a collaboration with Jeff “Chief” O’Neil)
  • Barrage Brewing’s Yada, Yada, Yada, which might be the brewery’s first appearance in NYC

We expect other beer luminaries to be in the house, including KelSo Brewing’s Kelly Taylor along with others from the NYC Brewers Guild.

Next week we’re having a Spanish craft beer theme week in honor of the Running of the Bulls in Pamplona! We’re joining other great bars around the city with a nice round-up of great Spanish beers. We’ll culminate our festivities on Friday, July 10th, with a Spanish beer and disco night! It’s all leading up to the coolest outdoor cooking event (we’ll be grilling on the East River Manhattan waterfront) of the month, Running with the Beef™! You can find out more about this beef and beer extravaganza – taking place on Saturday, July 11th – here.

On Sunday, July 19th, we’re taking a wee beer break and offering an amazing whiskey dinner with Angel’s Envy: You’ll get three courses, including our amazing whole roast “Lechon” pig dinner with sides, and four whiskeys (with a few surprise samplings likely). Full details about the dinner can be found under our events listings.

Speaking of our main course, the Lechon Roast Pig Dinner is available for your party or large gathering (3 days’ notice required)! Or, if you are looking for a larger event space, we are also launching an outdoor catering collaboration with the new Farm on Kent in Williamsburg. You can book your wedding, reunion or corporate outing with us!
And don’t forget that our new menu from Tito King’s Kitchen at Jimmy’s No. 43 is available all night long (limited late-night). We’re getting great reviews (or catch up on the new kitchen offerings here):
