Four years ago, FABnyc and Downtown Art collaborated with LES cultural and community groups to launch the first neighborhood-wide celebration of the unique legacies of the Lower East Side. Now, this annual event involves more than 80 community groups and small businesses – including Jimmy’s No. 43 – all drawing attention to the contributions of immigrants, workers, artists and revolutionaries who shaped the LES.
Two key events this week:
- Manhattan Sideways: A Photographic Journey Through the East Village – Wednesday, May 3rd opening reception with afterparty at Jimmy’s No. 43 – more info here
- Taste of East 7th Street – Thursday, May 4th, through Sunday, May 7th, with 10 restaurants participating, including Jimmy’s No. 43 – more info and tickets here
We hope to see you at Jimmy’s No. 43 during Lower East Side History Month!
