Thursday Tap™: Autumnation and Return of LI Oysters!

How do we know summer is officially over? It’s the return of local oysters to Jimmy’s No. 43. And how do we know fall is here? Because fresh hop beers start coming in.

For today’s Thursday Tap™, we’ll be pouring Sixpoint’s Autumnation is a 6.7% ABV hop harvest ale, featuring a fresh “wet hop” chosen by Sixpoint fans. Every year,  the Red Hook, Brooklyn, brewery takes it to the public for a vote: Which hop should they use to create their Autumnation? Well, this year we’re in great good fortune, as they’re making a fresh hop beer Mosaic, which provides this hearty copper ale with bright citrus, berry and pine flavors, along with aromatic notes of earth, strawberry and stonefruit.

This beer will be the first of several fresh hop beers we will tap at Jimmy’s No. 43 in the next few weeks (beers TBA, as they are shipped). As always, Thursday Tap™ starts at 5 p.m., while supplies last, and with regular bar/restaurant and—yay!—oyster service available.
