Thursday Tap™ – Brasserie Trois Dames Grande Dame Oud Bruin + Meet The Brewer!

This week we have a very special “Meet the Brewer” for Thursday Tap™. Tonight from 5-7 p.m. we’ll have Swiss brewer Raphaël Mettler from Swiss Brasserie Trois Dames visiting Jimmy’s No. 43. Our Thursday Tap™ at 5 p.m. will be Grande Dame Oud Bruin,  a 7.2% ABV  sour brown ale, brewed in the Flemish tradition, that rivals even the best Oud Bruins coming out of Belgium. Elegant and rustic, and full of complex flavors, berries, spice, and a hint of nuttiness. Raphaël, will be there to talk about his beers, wine, and fondue, plus offer a couple more of his beers in bottle. Also available:

  • L’Amoureuse Rouge (bottles) – brewed with 80% malt and 20% Gamaret grape must and aged in wine barrels for several months. Secondary fermentation is spontaneous due to yeast and bacteria on the grape skins.
  • L’Amoureuse Blanche (bottles) – brewed with 80% malt and 20% Chasselas grape must and aged in wine barrels for several months.

In addition, tonight we’ll have John Belliveau-Flores from Rowan Imports pouring his Spanish ciders back by the Oyster station. And regular bar/restaurant service will be available, as well.
