Thursday Tap™ Very Cool Beer Night

It may be hot outside, but it’ll be cool downstairs at Jimmy’s No. 43 with our VSTT (that’s Very Special Thursday Tap™) as we celebrate the birthday of Shelton Brothers rep and all around cool dude, Jim Barnes. Jim has picked a great line-up of beers, including Pretty Things (which he used to rep in NYC) Baby Tree on draught. Baby Tree is a 9% ABV Belgian-inspired quadrupel.

Check out the amazing list of the interesting and unusual beers we’ll have in house this evening:

Gastropub 508 ‘Brollaberation’ Blonde: A collaboration between Chris Cuzme and Jim Barnes, this blonde beauty is called ‘From Here To Eternity,’ an homage to the legendary European disco producer, Giorgio Moroder.  It’s a 5 5% ABV blonde ale brewed with Belgian Pilsner malt, a touch of wheat and oats, and it’s hopped with Streusellsplatlt and Styrian Goldings hops.  It’s your passport to a sunny early summer afternoon looking across an eternal countryside.

Page 24 Reserve Hildegarde Ambree: From Brasserie St. Germain, this not-so-traditional bier drinks with notes of toasty malt and a generously dry-hopped finish, a tribute to St. Hildegarde Bingen who was the 1st person to write about the health benefits of beer.

Brasserie Theillier-La Bavaisienne: a 7% ABV Farmhouse ale from northern France near the Belgian border.

Dieu Du Ciel-Corn Du Diable: a 6.5% ABV American-style IPA from Montreal.

As always, we’ll be tapping at 5 p.m. with the party getting underway around 6:30. As always, supplies available while they last, and regular bar/restaurant/oyster service is still available.
