What We Learned From Savor – Long Island Brewers, Commemoration Beer, Good Times

Jimmy’s No. 43 was happy to be at the epicenter of where to go before and after Savor, where Jimmy Carbone helped introduce the official collaboration/commemoration beer at this renown food and craft beer pairing event. Three of the NY State’s finest craft brewers—Brewery Ommegang, Brooklyn Brewery and Saranac Brewery—teamed up to produce New York Limited, a white lager brewed with honey and spices.

Of course, our favorite part of the week’s festivities was hanging out at Jimmy’s No. 43 with various Long Island Brewers. On Friday (June 14th), Barrier Brewing launched their Sav’r for Later collaboration beer with Carton Brewing. And our friends at Port Jeff Brewing held an after party on Saturday (June 15th). Here’s what brewer Mike Philbrick had to say about the festivities:

“Savor was great.  I was excited to showcase our beers with some of the heavy hitters there.  We had an excellent response and got a few new accounts out of it.  Thanks for having the event afterwards Saturday night too.  We ended up having some of the Devils Backbone and Bruery folks out there that night amongst others.”

As we gear up for July Good Beer Month, we’re happy to remember our great beer experience courtesy of Savor!
