We’re in the middle of Cider Week NY, and Jimmy’s No. 43 has a $10 Tuesday Tasting of ciders to enjoy. Among your tastes (we start promptly at 7:30 p.m. this evening) will be:
- Oliver’s Herefordshire Perry (4.8% ABV)
- Oliver’s Herfordshire Dry Cider (6.6% ABV)
- Etienne Dupont Cuvee Colette
- Farnum Hill Dooryard
- Farnum Hill Extra Dry
- Farnum Hill Kingston black single variety
In addition, tomorrow night John Belliveau-Flores, co-owner of Rowan Imports, will sample Spanish cider. Enjoy Basque options (still TBA) from a traditional, funky cider; a “new expression” cider very similar to a white wine; a sparkling cider made in the champagnoise method; and a very sweet dessert cider similar to a port.
As always, the regular bar/restaurant service will be available, but for those who want to partake of Cider Week, we’ve got plenty of ciders to choose from!
