If you’re looking for a truly laid back vibe to your beer experience, you should make your way to Jimmy’s No. 43 this coming Saturday, March 16th (or on Saturday, April 27th), for our monthly installment of Bacon & Belgians. We created this event out of our very successful Battle of the Belgians, but we discovered that plenty of you (including our beer community in Jersey and Connecticut) enjoy this guided tasting with owner Jimmy Carbone of some of the best Belgians available to sample.
We take our time (we open at noon, and the tasting generally is underway by 12:30 p.m.) and work our way through 10+ Belgian beers. This week’s list includes the following:
- Piraat
- Saison Dupont
- Monk’s Cafe
- Dupont Bons Voeux
- Poperings Hommel Ale
- Others, TBA.
And as if these beers weren’t enough reason to belly up to the Belgians, we pair brews with different bacon samples from the East Village Meat Market, along with our famous, award-winning buttermilk mini-biscuits. This is a unique opportunity to sample some interesting and unusual beers in a congenial atmosphere. You can join in by getting your tickets here. Hope to see you
