Where’s the Beef? And Pancakes? At Jimmy’s No. 43

On the menu will be beef carpaccio along with roasts and other yummy cuts courtesy of this steer recently carved by The Meat Hook’s Sara Bigelow.

It’s been a crazy couple of weeks, but the MTA has almost full service and the weather is gonna be great today and tomorrow. Why not enjoy the close of Meat Week NYC by coming out today for our special meat-centric menu (still vegetarian options, and everyone loves beer!) Starting today, Saturday, November 10th and while they last, we’ll have rib eye and tenderloin roasts some of which we’ll roast and serve with local potatoes and other pieces that will be served carpaccio with seasoning. All this fresh beef is sourced from Adirondack Grazers Cooperative, a grass-fed beef co-op in Washington County, and carved by Brooklyn Kitchen/The Meat Hook’s resident butcher, Sara Bigelow. Delish!

And tomorrow (Sunday, November 11th), we’ll be hosting an all-you-can-eat brunch buffet, Pancakes for Sandy to raise funds in the aftermath of Hurricane Sandy. We’ve been devoting most of our charitable efforts to help out friends in the Rockways, which lost almost the entire Boardwalk along with businesses and homes. From 11 a.m. – 3 p.m. we’ll have a special all-you-can-eat pancake breakfast for hurricane relief. Join Special guest chefs Noah Berland and Cathy Erway will be flipping up pancakes served with an assortment of seasonal toppings straight from the Greenmarket, and home-baked biscuits ‘n gravy. Special pancake toppings include brown butter sage apple, bacon-maple syrup, creme fraiche with local smoked mackerel and chives, and curried vegetable bouquet. $20 cash donation gets you an all-you-can-eat ticket the brunch, served family-style. Beverages, taxes and tip additional.

Throughout the weekend we’ll have beer specials and regular bar/restaurant service, including serving two new beers from Hudson Valley’s Chatham Brewing: Starting at 2 p.m. until 6 p.m. we’ll be featuring two Chatham beers on draft: OC Blond Ale and New IPA. Come on your own or call 212-982-3006 after 11:30 a.m. today to make a reservation!
